2017 Visiting Artists

Sarahlynne Bradford- August 13

Sarahlynne Bradford-

Seeking spirituality and creativity in my everyday is essential and vital to who I am as a person. I build on my years of being surrounded by and exploring many art forms, working and living with healing plants, and bringing babies into this world both through my own home water births and assisting others through doula work. The first time I explored clay was during my first year at Heartwood College of Art in 2001. The connection was instantaneous. The medium was all-encompassing for me. With time my appreciation, curiosity, and aesthetic have incubated and emerged into a clear, straightforward vision. In 2017 I am organically (alongside nurturing my sweet little family) growing a small local business out of my home studio. I take inspiration from Wabi-Sabi, the Japanese philosophy of imperfect beauty and quiet simplicity. I am extremely excited and eager to see what the future holds for Kaolin & Ember Ceramics.
